MIDDLE SCHOOL MINISTRY
We recognize the unique nature of adolescence. Middle school students are becoming adults, but they are also still children. It’s a traumatic, difficult season in their lives with many issues to be wrestled with. Our desire is to support and help them navigate this time, while helping strengthen their faith.
Acknowledging that this is a unique point in their lives, we understand the need to provide special attention. We address that through what we call “sacred companionship.” One can’t go it alone. We seek to provide those people our youths can journey with who are holy, healthy, and safe.
But we don’t want to pull this age group out of the body. Our ultimate goal is to lead them into overall community. That’s why we worship with the congregation before our Middle School Ministry time begins on Sunday mornings. And it’s why we attend the 10 o’clock service together the last Sunday of each month.
Finally, while youth pastors play pivotal roles in youth ministries, the ultimate success of these programs is founded on the volunteers. These are the unsung heroes. If you would like to join this special team of men and women who are passionate for this age group, please contact Pastor Jordan Pinkston at firstname.lastname@example.org.
